IShowSpeed took his Spider-Man Halloween costume to another level after fellow streamer Cuffem made a surprise appearance dressed as a monster during his livestream.
The viral moment unfolded when Cuffem, wearing a monster costume, appeared to pretend to rob a woman during the broadcast. Speed, who was dressed as Marvel superhero Miles Morales, quickly jumped into action to save her.
Channeling his inner Spider-Man, Speed confronted Cuffem before the two engaged a staged fight. Speed eventually got the upper hand, tackling Cuffem and handing the bag to the woman.
“Hey, what are you doing stealing that lady’s purse?” Speed asked before tackling Cuffem. “What is wrong with you? Stealing that lady’s purse. How could you?”
He added, “Hey you don’t do this in my city alright. I’m here to save Brooklyn. Don’t you ever do that again, alright, buddy?”
The encounter was part of Speed’s Halloween festivities in New York City. He also shared a Halloween-themed photoshoot on Instagram on Saturday (Oct. 31), showing off his take on the character against the backdrop of New York City.
In a TikTok video from the shoot, Speed performed a backflip and showed off his dance moves on a rooftop while a remix of Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” played in the background.
The song famously appeared on the soundtrack for the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which introduced audiences to Shameik Moore’s portrayal of Morales.
Miles Morales first appeared in Marvel Comics in 2011 before becoming the central character of the animated Spider-Verse film franchise. The next installment, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is scheduled to arrive in June 2027.
Speed’s Halloween celebration comes just days after he made headlines for hosting a massive scavenger hunt in New York City.
On Wednesday (Oct. 28), the streamer challenged fans to locate him somewhere in the city between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., offering a $250,000 prize to whoever found him.
According to HypeFresh, a nursing student named Ben reportedly skipped an exam to join the hunt and tracked down Speed in less than an hour, earning the prize.
