Mickey Mouse is headed to the ballroom as Dancing With the Stars takes on its annual Disney Night on Nov. 2.
Host Alfonso Ribeiro made an important note to fans that next week’s live show will be taking place on Monday, because of Election Day. Disney Night will also feature special guest judge Cynthia Erivo —as the theme is in celebration of “the magic of Disney on Broadway” — and team dances. And, yes, both Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will be hitting the dance floor.
The first team will be dancing to “Zoo” from Zootopia 2, while the other will take on “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical. The members of each team were not announced on the podcast.
Disney Night comes after this week’s Horror Movie Night, which featured a brutal double elimination. Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess were sent home, along with Jackson Olson and Emma Slater.
Cameron’s elimination was a particularly surprising one, especially after the Bachelorettestar’s emotional Dedication Night dance on Oct. 20, in which he and fiancée Tate Madden revealed that they were expecting a baby together. Cameron received harsh criticisms from the DWTS judges on Tuesday, just ahead of his elimination. The reality star was visibly unhappy when receiving a score of 26 out of 40 for his Viennese waltz to Annie Lennox’s “Love Song by a Vampire.”
Following his elimination, fellow DWTS contestant Jenna Dewan gave Cameron props for his performance throughout the season.
“I saw genuine improvement every single week,” the actress told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re going to miss him.”
