Jackson Olson is spinning into a new chapter.
And as the Savannah Bananas player navigates life after Dancing With the Starselimination—the Halloween-themed Oct. 27 episode marked the end of the road for him and partner Emma Slater—his girlfriendMaggie Sajakis making sure he still feels like a million bucks.
As she wrote on her Instagram Story over a selfie with Olson, “So proud of you @jacksonolson!!”
The 31-year-old—who has been dating the baseball player for six months—capped off the message with a white heart.
While Olson and Slater had delivered some home run performances across the first seven weeks of DWTSseason 35, their Joker-themed contemporary dance to Frank Sinatra‘s “That’s Life” wasn’t enough to get them through to week eight. The pair were eliminated in the night’s double eviction alongside Tyler Cameronand Sharna Burgess.
For Olson, his time in the ballroom knocked his expectations right out of the park.
“I wanted to be on this since last year, and I made a bunch of videos about it,” told cameras after his elimination. “I got on it, and I got the most amazing partner in Emma. So, this journey has been amazing.”
Yet, a ballroom exit is always bittersweet, and Olson’s week seven exit means he won’t be able to compete during Disney night on Nov. 2—the 29-year-old’s ultimate goal.

In fact, ahead of horror movie night, Sajak issued a plea to her followers to help her boyfriend make it one more week.
“When Jackson and I started to get to know each other, we quickly realized we have a lot in common,” she began an Oct. 27 Instagram post. “But one of the most important things that has bonded us has always been our love of Disney. Not because it’s super fun to go to the parks together or watch the movies (it is), but because of what it represents.”

“Disney reminds us to be ourselves, embrace our inner child, and share special moments with the ones you love,” the daughter of Wheel of Fortune‘s Pat Sajakadded alongside a video montage of her and Olson at Disney parks. “Jackson reminds me and so many others to do all of those important things each and every day. So…let’s make sure Jackson gets to live out his dream of performing on Disney night.”
And while not all the wishes a heart makes can come true, Olson is focusing on the bright side.
As he captioned a selfie shared to Instagram after the episode, “That’s life.”
