Are we in for another famous lake scene?

Netflix released the full trailer for its Pride and Prejudice series on Thursday and we finally get a glimpse of the slow-burn romance between Emma Corrin’s Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Bennet and Jack Lowden’s Mr Darcy.
“One day, Jane, I shall be either a governess and a spinster, or a wife and a mother. And then finally, we may talk about something else,” Lizzie tells Freya Mavor’s Jane Bennet on a rooftop as they appear to be talking about their futures.
The tailer then introduces us to the ever-tiresome Mrs Bennet (Oli and the ever-detached Mr Bennet (Rufus Sewell) and offers quick looks at Louis Partridge’s Wickham, Jamie Demetriou’s Mr Collins, and Fiona Shaw’s Lady Catherine de Bourgh
In the trailer Colman delivers the enduring opening sentence of the classic novel: “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.”
It also looks like we’re in for yet another famous ‘lake moment’, as we see Elizabeth quietly observing Mr Darcy — with rolled-up sleeves — skipping stones on a lake. But it still remains to be seen, of course, if it’s going to be as iconic as the one from the 1995 series starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.
The trailer ends with Mrs Bennet asking why her husband — who says nothing the whole time — must make everything “so dramatic”.
Pride and Prejudice premieres on Netflix on December 3.
