Rochester, N.Y. — A former volunteer firefighter for the Chili Fire Department has pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.
U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo said Vincent Steiner, now 23, used Roblox between December 2024 and July 2025 to meet underage girls and attempt to entice them to send pornographic photos of themselves to him.
Between January and March 2025, he persuaded a minor victim, who was 12 years old, to send him images and videos of herself engaged in sexual acts. Steiner also requested a naked photo of her eight-year-old sister. He also sent sexually explicit messages to another minor victim, a 13-year-old girl he found on Roblox.
According to a criminal complaint, a search warrant executed July 22, 2025 at Steiner’s home in Chili uncovered a phone that contained at least nine images of child pornography, some of which depicted minors as young as 4 years old engaging in sexual acts with adults. The phone also contained explicit images of the 13-year-old victim. Steiner was arrested Nov. 6.

Andrew Wilkinson, then chief of the Chili Fire Department, said Nov. 18 that Steiner resigned from the department in August 2025, and there was “no information that any of the allegations referenced occurred while he was on duty.”
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 14.
