How to Score Apple, Dyson, and Nintendo for Less Before Black Friday, Thanks to Back Market’s Refurbished Deals

The case for skipping sky-high pricing on brand-new tech and electronics and buying refurbished isn’t limited to smartphones and tablets. Laptops, gaming consoles, and even personal care products present great opportunities for refurbished deals, especially when they’re professionally refurbished, tested, and warrantied by Back Market.

Back Market’s current listings include a MacBook Air with Apple’s M4 chip, a Dyson Airwrap i.d., and a Nintendo Switch — three products in three very different categories, each with a different refurbished value opportunity, and each eligible for a further price reduction through Back Market’s trade-in program. As good as this year’s Black Friday deals are likely to be, chances are you’ll save even more at Back Market.

    $999 Fair, $1,233 Good, $1,269 Excellent

Apple’s M4 chip, which ships in this MacBook Air configuration, is the 2025 successor to the M3. The 10-core processor and 8-core GPU handle everything from document work to photo editing without the sustained fan noise that older MacBook generations required under load, because the architecture is efficient enough to avoid it. The 16-core Neural Engine handles on-device AI processing. The 13-inch Liquid Retina display at 2560 x 1664 is sharp enough to work on for extended sessions, the four-speaker system is better calibrated than most laptop audio, and the 1080p webcam produces usable video without supplemental lighting. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports cover data and display output; MagSafe 3 handles charging if you prefer it. The machine weighs just over three pounds and runs the current macOS Tahoe.

Back Market lists this configuration at $999 in Fair, $1,233 in Good, and $1,269 in Excellent condition. All three tiers pass the same performance benchmarks; condition describes the cosmetic state of the casing and keyboard. Trade-in credit lowers the effective price from any of those starting points. The amount depends on what you send in: Back Market’s estimator handles the calculation at checkout.

A styling tool might not occur to you as a candidate for a refurbished deal, but the Dyson Airwrap i.d.’s core technology is mechanical, not consumable. The Airwrap i.d. works by directing a controlled column of air around a barrel using the Coanda effect, drawing hair around the attachment without direct contact with a heated surface. That mechanism either produces the effect or it does not, and Dyson’s hardware is built to operate within tight tolerances that hold up through professional refurbishment. The i.d. model added app connectivity and personalized guidance via the Dyson Beauty platform, which works the same on a refurbished unit as it does on a new one.

The Back Market markdown on the Dyson Airwrap i.d. is among the best on the board, with a $290 price on a refurbished Airwrap in Excellent condition versus the $649 list price. A professional-grade styling tool at less than half the retail price, certified by a refurbisher to perform to specification, is virtually impossible to beat.

$340 List $235 Back Market (Good) $250 (Excellent)

The Nintendo Switch is the console that made handheld hybrid gaming mainstream. It plays on a television through the dock, as a handheld with the display and Joy-Cons attached, or flat on a table with the kickstand out and the controllers separated. The hardware is eight years old, but none of that matters in the way it would for a phone or laptop, because the argument for buying a Switch in 2026 is the library. Nintendo’s first-party catalog — The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Metroid, Splatoon, Pikmin — is available entirely for this hardware, and the back catalog pricing is another huge savings opportunity. The 32GB internal storage is the unit’s only limitation, but SD card expansion is easy and inexpensive.

Back Market lists the Switch at $235 in Good condition and $250 in Excellent. New units command around $340, and the software library only grows cheaper with time. Trade-in credit applies here the same as the other two products: Send in a working device, reduce the purchase price, and let the library do the rest.

Back Market’s warranty and return protection apply to all three products across every condition tier. The trade-in program accepts devices across categories and applies the credit before checkout.
