Student Of The Year-After Dark Trailer: Shanaya Kapoor Investigates Her Own Murder In This Spin-Off
The makers of Student of the Year: After Dark unveiled the trailer of the series on Tuesday, offering a glimpse into a much darker version of the familiar St Theresa School.
Featuring Shanaya Kapoor in a double role, the show returns to the setting of the first two Student of the Year films, but replaces their glamorous campus life with secrets, suspense and danger.
What Did Student Of The Year – After Dark Trailer Show?
The trailer opens with the mysterious death of one of the twin sisters, Aisha, whose lifeless body is found frozen and drowned. Her sister, Aditi, then embarks on a mission to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death and seek revenge. As she begins piecing together the clues, a central question emerges: was Aisha’s death an accident, or was she caught up in a much larger conspiracy?
The mystery deepens as more teenagers enter the narrative and a secret competition comes to light. The participants’ outfits evoke comparisons with Squid Game, while the stakes appear equally brutal, with death looming over the contest. Unlike the original film’s focus on ambition and the pursuit of success, Student of the Year: After Dark explores the potentially deadly consequences of the desire to win.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Reema Maya, the series brings a suspense-driven, darker approach to the franchise. Friendships come with hidden histories, rivalries are fuelled by personal motives, and each new revelation takes Aditi a step closer to understanding what really happened to her sister.
