Jon Gosselin hasn’t spoken with most of his children in more than a decade.
The reality star, who appeared on “Jon & Kate Plus 8” before his divorce from ex-wife Kate Gosselin, admitted that his strained relationships with six of his kids have made them “perfect strangers now.”
When Entertainment Tonight asked about the last time Gosselin spoke with most of his children, he admitted, “I haven’t talked to them.”

TLC aired “Jon & Kate Plus 8” from 2007-09, when the former couple divorced. One year later, the show was rebranded as “Kate Plus 8,” which focused on her life following the split, and ran until 2017.
Jon and Kate – who have twins Mady and Cara and sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin — announced their divorce in a broadcast episode of the show.
Collin and Hannah began living with Jon in 2018, when Jon admitted that while Collin went “no contact” with his siblings, Hannah was still speaking with her mother.

“I mean, I know Hannah has, but I have not personally talked to them,” Gosselin told the outlet before adding, “Of course I want to talk to them. It’s not about the book stuff, I just want to know how their life is going.”

He added, “I mean, we’re perfect strangers now. It’s been a long time with Mady and Cara … about 13 years I’ve been estranged from them.”
Gosselin noted that he had “no idea why” his two eldest children haven’t spoken to him in over a decade.

“And then, the other four, I haven’t seen them since before COVID maybe,” he said.
When asked if he had a message for the six children he lost communication with, Gosselin claimed he’s attempted contact in the past, and won’t stop trying.

“I’ve tried to reach out to you publicly,” he said. “In the early days, I tried to reach out to you privately. I hope you understand that I still love you. I hope one day you reach out to me.”
Gosselin added, “And please read your brother’s book, because I think that will explain a lot. Be your own person. You are all adults now. Form your own opinions and try to take in as much information before you talk ill will or anything about anyone in this family.”
The reality star’s plea came weeks after his son, Collin Gosselin, released an eye-opening memoir about his life in front of the camera, “In The Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.”
Collin grew up on television as cameras followed the Gosselins for years, first with “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and then “Kate Plus 8.”(Donna Svennevik)
In the book, Collin, 22, accused his mother of restraining him with zip ties, hitting him when he failed to perform for cameras and isolating him in the family’s basement.

“I’d like an apology, simply put, an apology and for her to admit, and just take accountability for what she did,” Collin told Fox News Digital earlier this month regarding his mother.
“And to say, you know, ‘I’m sorry that I’ve soiled your name, and I’ve made every effort to bury you, to protect my reputation,’ I think that’d be very honest and very powerful for her to say that … just show accountability because everything she’s done to protect her reputation, it’s all been at my cost.”
Amid the abuse allegations, Kate said that her children know who she “truly” is while responding to fan comments on a birthday post dedicated to her boyfriend, Steve Neild.

Kate responded by thanking the fan, before adding, “I know who I am and my kids know who I truly am and to me, that’s all that matters.”
