Chaos erupted at the “Rock N Rhythm 5.0: No Limits in the Zone” concert at Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka on Friday evening, as thousands of people reportedly broke through security barriers and entered the venue without tickets before James took the stage.
The disorder occurred ahead of a performance by popular singer Mahfuz Anam James and his band, Nagar Baul, on October 23.
The uncontrolled entry left ticket-holding audience members struggling to enjoy the concert. Overcrowding and poor crowd management drew complaints from those who had paid to attend the event.

As the situation went out of control, the organisers were forced to open the main gates. The move further angered audience members who had purchased tickets.
One person who entered the venue without a ticket said, “It is not possible to get in like this; I had to struggle a lot to get inside.”
Videos circulating on social media showed audience members chanting “fake, fake” amid the chaos. In one video, a person complained, “The management is not proper. Many people have entered without tickets.”
Another video appeared to show security personnel restraining and beating an audience member.
Police were deployed to manage the situation and attempted to disperse the crowds gathered at the concert entrances.Tap here to add The Daily Star as a trusted source
