A night at the cinema in Dubai is about to get a lot more social. ROXY Cinemas at The Beach, JBR has launched Movie Club, a new dining and entertainment concept that sits somewhere between a hangout, a bar and a restaurant.
No Movie Ticket Needed
The biggest detail is the simplest one. You do not need to book a ROXY Cinemas ticket to visit. Movie Club allows anyone who wants a relaxed place to, eat, drink and socialise over a film or simply dine.
What You Can Expect
The concept pairs a full food and beverage offering with a laid-back social setting. Bubbly beverages are part of the line-up, and the space is pitched at everything from casual catch-ups to after-work drinks and special occasions.
It also brings the cinema lifestyle into the room. Think of it as the pre-movie dinner and the post-movie debrief rolled into one spot, without the rush to make a showtime.
Events On The Calendar
Movie Club is not only about the menu. ROXY Cinemas says it will run a regular programme of entertainment, including live entertainment, themed evenings and seasonal activations. The aim is to give guests a reason to return throughout the year, rather than visiting once and moving on.
Who Is It For?
Based on the concept, it works for several kinds of outings
- Friends meeting before a film
- Colleagues winding down after work
- Families looking for a relaxed evening out
- Groups marking a special occasion
Why It Matters For JBR
The Beach is already a go-to for dining and strolling by the water. Movie Club adds another option for evenings, especially for those who like their nights out to have a bit of entertainment built in.
For residents and visitors alike, it means a plan that does not depend on what is showing. You can turn up with friends, grab a table and let the evening unfold, with or without a film at the end of it.
The Social Angle
ROXY Cinemas describes Movie Club as a more social take on the cinema lifestyle. The idea is to pull dining, entertainment and the atmosphere of a night at the movies into a single destination, so guests do not have to choose between a good meal and a good night out.
Menu details, opening hours and event dates were not shared in the announcement, so keep an eye on ROXY Cinemas’ channels for updates before you head down.
