Dylan Sprouseis having the sweetest time as a first-time dad.
After theSuite Life of Zack & Codyalum andBarbara Palvinwelcomed their daughterSylvie, he shared insight into life with their 6-week-old baby, including how they’ve been bonding.
“It’s really cute,” Sprouse exclusively told E! News at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 18. “Her eyesight’s clearing up, and so she’s starting to recognize faces a lot more.”
“She’s smiling and laughing at my jokes,” he beamed, “which is all a dad can really dream of.
Strutting into fatherhood hasn’t come without some smellier responsibilities for Sprouse. In fact, he admitted he revealed what surprised him most about the journey.
“How desensitized I am now to bodily fluids,” he quipped. “That’s just having a baby, I guess.”
But one aspect of parenting that didn’t surprise the 34-year-old was how impressive Palvin has been. After all, the model even returned to the runway just six weeks after giving birth.

“I don’t know where she finds the energy,” he said. “I’m a tired guy all the time, and obviously having a newborn makes you more tired. Barbara’s just up and in super mom mode, and now she’s walking the show. I’m like, ‘Where does it come from?'”
“Some people are just better than other people,” he posited. “I’m extremely proud of my wife. I’m excited to see what happens.”
Sprouse proved he was Palvin’s biggest fan, cheering her on as she stepped out in a baby-pink lace dress duringMegan Moroney‘s performance of “Am I Okay?”

After Sprouse and Palvin welcomed Sylvie, he reflected on what it’s really like to parent a newborn.
“Ninety percent of the time right now, it’s like having a baby pet monkey,” he teased on hisWildmenpodcast in September. “It is having a pet monkey because she is chirping and making noises and pooping and farting and burping and hiccuping. It’s like having a really poopy little animal.”
And he was so thrilled to be a girl dad. As he put it, “I did not expect to like this as much as I do, dressing her up in little fits, dude. She’s so cute.”
