For star Lyndsy Fonseca, the film serves as a tribute to the city itself.
“To shoot a movie that is truly a love letter to Chicago in all of these great landmarks, at Halas Hall, on the river, I mean we are really showcasing Chicago in this movie,” Fonseca said.
Co-star Robert Buckley said the production also gave him a crash course in Chicago culture, particularly when it comes to the city’s signature foods.

The film follows a devoted Chicago Bears fan as she attends her 500th Bears game. The character is played by acclaimed actress Marsha Mason, who said spending time around Bears fans helped bring authenticity to the role.
“Bears fans are very demonstrative, and they’re wonderful to be around. So, it was — and we got to go on the field, which was incredible. It was a highlight of my career. I’ve got to say,” Mason said.
The movie also features a cameo from Bears tight end Colston Loveland. He joined quarterback Caleb Williams and Bears CEO Kevin Warren on the red carpet, while team mascot Staley the Bear greeted fans and guests at the premiere.
