Sell Fries opens on a very relatable scenario. You’re the owner of a fries drive-thru, and on the day of the grand opening, you head out into the parking lot to admire your gargantuan pile of grubby, unpeeled potatoes (every good fry restaurant has one!). As you admire your spud mound, you use your X-ray vision to spot a magical key buried deep in the centre, which you immediately understand must unlock the spooky basement nearby. Just an average day in the fry industry, am I right fellas?
To get this key, you’ll need to carve through your stock of potatoes, all the while defending against evil entities that attack when the sun goes down. However, that’s easier said than done, considering most of these entities will slow down your automated potato lines and try to slither into your soul. So, if you’re wondering how to fend off all Anomalies in Sell Fries, we’ve put together a full list of every ghostly occurrence that could throw your starchy empire into flux.
All Anomalies in Sell Fries
Off the bat, it’s worth noting that there are a bunch of different types of Anomalies in Sell Fries. You’ll need to thwart enemies, deny service to customers and fix technical issues that’ll halt your progress if you want to get the key and delve into the basement. Here’s all the different types of supernatural Anomalies you’ll encounter:

Anomaly Customer
How to detect:
A customer will come to the window to order. They’ll be some form of demon, ghoul or supernatural creature, and will begin muttering in garbled text. This text is always red and you’ll get blurry vision while looking at the customer. Left long enough, the customer will crawl through your window, becoming a Drive-Through Crawler.
How to defeat:
Close the shutter or shoot with a gun.

If you’ve got too many tasks to complete to bother turning these guys away every night, save up your money and buy a full automated peeler and fryer. After you’ve got both, you’ll unlock the option to buy the Fry Shooter for $12,000. This thing does wonders, as it automatically kills any Anomalies that appear at the drive-through window, freeing you up to continue cooking and fighting other Anomalies.
Parking Lot Stalkers
How to detect:
When outside of the restaurant, occasionally, a creature will appear in the parking lot and begin moving towards you. These creatures come in a variety of shapes and forms, but you’ll always get a text pop-up and arrow pointing to the entity.
How to defeat:
Run back inside the restaurant and wait for the creature to leave, or use a gun.
Drive-Through Crawlers
How to detect:
If you don’t deal with an Anomaly Customer fast enough, they’ll slink through the window and begin crawling across the floor towards you. Get close enough, and they’ll attack.
How to defeat:
Run outside and wait for them to leave, or use a gun.
Power outage
How to detect:
During the night, you may notice all the lights switch off and your potato conveyor belt freezing. This means the power’s gone out and you need to fix it.
How to defeat:
Head outside and look for the power box on the wall just around the corner from the drive-through window. Complete the re-wiring mini-game by linking the coloured wires to their corresponding coloured outlet, and boom, your power will return.
The Giant
How to detect
On certain nights, you’ll get a notification that appears on-screen simply reading “The Giant.” When this appears, you’ve had the misfortune of making the acquaintance of a towering entity hanging onto the buildings opposite the restaurant. This is the Giant, and he absolutely loves throwing things at you to be a nuisance.
Whenever you’re outside, a reticule will appear on the screen. When the red circle outside the reticule lines up with the circle in the middle, the giant will launch a projectile at you.
How to defeat:
The Giant can’t be defeated, but you can avoid his projectiles by moving whenever the reticule appears. If you look at the reticule while running either left or right, you’ll see the red circle on the outside of the reticule eventually turn green. If the circle is green, that means you’ll successfully dodge the giant’s attack.

The Giant’s projectiles aren’t too much of a problem while cooking and serving food indoors, but they become a much bigger deal when you need to complete a task outside, like fixing the power. If you need to do a mini-game or thwart another Anomaly, wait for the reticule to appear, dodge it, then complete the action during the Giant’s projectile cooldown. It’ll save you a lot of time and health.
The Potato Eater
How to detect
After building an automated potato conveyor, you’ll periodically have to deal with a big greedy monster sitting at the end of the conveyor belt, shovelling raw spuds into his gullet. Listen, the guy seems nice, but he’s really tanking your profit margins.
How to defeat:
Approach the potato eater and interact with him. You’ll need to hold the interact button for a few seconds to scare him off, and free your potatoes so they can continue their journey to the fryer.
Robot malfunctions
How to detect
Once you’ve coerced some robot assistants into free labour, they can occasionally be possessed by the spirit of evil and begin to malfunction. You’ll get a notification, but they’ll also stop moving and garble out evil dialogue.
How to defeat:
Approach the robot and interact with it, holding the button until it springs back up and continues working.
