In an exclusive interview with the Culture Newspaper, JSOL shared his feelings about looking back at his first free fan meeting in Hanoi , saying that although the circumstances and scale of the meetings have changed, the affection between him and his fans remains unchanged.
According to the singer, audiences are drawn to him through his music and stay because of the positive energy he brings. Therefore, what he values is not whether a meet-and-greet is free or not, but the genuine love and affection between the artist and his fans.
“Whether it’s today, seven or eight years ago, or many months from now, I hope that everyone will always maintain that love for each other,” JSOL expressed.
Besides opening up about his feelings for SONIC, the male singer also shared about the ligament injury he suffered while performing a backflip during the Dance battle at Livestage 3 of Tinh Ha Say Hi .
Notably, JSOL didn’t see continuing to play after injury as a journey to find motivation and push his limits. For him, it was primarily a responsibility to his teammates.
“I’m just trying my best for my bandmates,” the singer shared, adding that the injury was undesirable, but when challenges arise, he has to find a way to overcome them and complete his part of the job as best as he can.
Even when asked if he would change his mind if he could go back in time, JSOL affirmed that he would still accept the injury, because those events contributed to the positive things that happened later.
