Ramayana to open overseas on Nov 5, India dates awaited
Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana will reportedly release internationally on November 5, three days before Diwali, while its India release date remains unannounced. Sony Pictures Germany, the film’s international distributor, has listed the November 5 date on YouTube, although an earlier trailer had mentioned November 6. Producer Namit Malhotra previously said the makers were targeting a Diwali release in India. According to reports, paid previews on November 4 and a nationwide release on November 5 are also being considered, but neither date has been finalised. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is the first instalment of a two-part franchise, with the sequel scheduled for Diwali 2027.
HBO orders Crazy Rich Asians series with original cast
American cable network HBO has ordered a series based on the hit 2018 romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians, with original cast members Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Ronny Chieng and Michelle Yeoh set to reprise their roles. Adele Lim, who co-wrote the original film, will serve as showrunner, while director Jon M Chu and author Kevin Kwan, whose novel inspired the movie, will serve as executive producers, HBO said in a statement. The series, which will begin production in 2027, is HBO’s first project announced since the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery brought the network under the new Skydance umbrella. The 2018 film, based on Kwan’s 2013 novel of the same name, earned nearly USD 240 million worldwide and became one of the decade’s highest-grossing romantic comedies.
Mia Goth seeks sole custody of daughter in divorce petition
Mia Goth has filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf and is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their four-year-old daughter Isabel. According to court documents obtained by People, the 32-year-old actress filed her petition in Los Angeles on October 6, citing “irreconcilable differences”. She has asked the court to grant LaBeouf visitation rights. Goth listed July 28, 2025, as their separation date.
The couple first met while filming Nymphomaniac: Vol. II in 2012 and held a Las Vegas wedding ceremony in 2016. They announced a separation in 2018 before rekindling their relationship. Their daughter was born
in 2022.
Paramount set to bring live-action film on Cyberpunk 2077
Paramount Pictures is developing a live-action film set in the universe of the best-selling video game Cyberpunk 2077. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, known for backing the Transformers movies, is attached as producer on the project, which The Hollywood Reporter says is being developed in collaboration with Poland-based CD Projekt Red, the award-winning video game developer that holds the rights to the franchise. Set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City in California, Cyberpunk 2077 follows V, a mercenary who becomes implanted with a cybernetic biochip containing the consciousness of Johnny Silverhand, a legendary rockstar and terrorist. As Silverhand’s consciousness begins to overwrite V’s own, the two must work together to separate themselves and save V’s life while confronting the powerful Arasaka Corporation, which effectively rules the city.
