TULSA, Okla. —A man has been arrested that the Tulsa Police Department says was in possession of a stolen gun and drugs.
According to police, officers responded to a weapons disturbance call at an apartment near 39th West Avenue and West 8th Street around 5 p.m. . Police say a witness reported seeing a suspect waving a handgun outside and threatening another person.
When officers arrived, they set up a perimieter around the residence. Officers called for the suspect to come out and he complied, but refused to drop an object in his hand which was later determined to be a cell phone. The suspect was then taken into custody.
Due to the suspect being a convicted felon accused of having a firearm, officers got a search warrant for the residence. During the search, officers located the following:
- A black 9mm pistol with a red dot sight and extended magazine that was confired stolen out of Sapulpa
- A chrome .380 caliber pistol
- Ammunitions for both guns
- 47 bindles and several bags of suspected fentanyl totaling 339.6 grams
- A digital scale and cash
The suspect was booked into the Tulsa County jail on felony charges including two counts of possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony (AFCF), aggravated trafficking of fentanyl, aggravated possession of controled dangerous substances with intent to distribute AFCF, possession of a stolen firearm AFCF, posession of drug proceeds AFCF, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
