PlayStation Plus limited-time trick nets you three months of games for the price of one

This simple PlayStation Plus loophole will net you three whole months of free games for the price of one; a good deal even if the next few months are going to be busy for a lot of gamers.

With Grand Theft Auto VI less than two months away, the upcoming AAA releases are going to slow down significantly to make way for Rockstar Games’ magnum opus. Some games like Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Remasted are humorously refusing to back down, but for the most part, it’s going to be a quiet November.

Don’t let that dissuade you from all of the upcoming PlayStation Plus games yet to release this year.

As explained by u/LAXBASED on Reddit, early November is your chance to game the system a bit and get more PlayStation Plus Essential games than you’re actually paying for.

If you grab yourself a one-month membership on November 2, you’ll be able to grab the games from October’s offering, which includes:F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896,andEarth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, followed by both November and December’s line-up.

It’s not a complicated hack, nor one that you can be penalised for by PlayStation, it’s just making the most out of both your money and membership.

The question now is what games will actually be on offer when November and December roll around?

Our PlayStation Plus Essential wishlist for November and December 2026

Given GTA VI’sinfluence, it’s safe to say that November’s PlayStation Plus offering will be…limited.

PlayStation’s bound to be reluctant to shell out too much money, which means it might be an ample opportunity for some palate-cleansers. Indies to stick on if you fancy a break from Vice City, or don’t plan on revisiting it at all.

Something like Absolum, The Artful EscapeorJourney would be some good shouts. Anything that’ll keep you occupied for a few hours, but doesn’t require day after day of play.

Given the news that the next Kena game is now releasing in 2027, November or December would be the perfect time to let gamers have a spin of Kena Bridge of Spiritsagain.

Once we’re out of November, GTA VI will have had a few weeks to occupy our time before the next batch of PlayStation Plus games, and we’d like to see some 2025 hits make the cut to round-off the year.

In an ideal world, something like DispatchorSplit Fiction would be on offer, but that might be too wishful even for a wishlist. We can dream though.

Ultimately, I think it’s safe to say that the PlayStation Plus Essential offering for 2026 has been mid to put it simply. Hopefully, December ends things with a bang, before some meaningful improvement in 2026. Otherwise what on Earth were those subscription price-hikes for?
