Jason Sanjay is all set to take the director’s seat, and Sigma is set for a theatrical release on October 2. Actors Suriya and Jyotika wished the filmmaker well ahead of his directorial debut and took to social media to congratulate him and the entire team.
The messages come as Sigma is nearing the end of its promotional campaign, and Jason is about to launch his career as a filmmaker outside his family’s long-standing presence in Tamil cinema.
Jyotika’s sincere message for Jason
On Instagram, Jyotika shared a picture of Jason with a Sigma poster and congratulated the debutant director.
She said in a message that she has enjoyed watching his promotional journey and praised the man he has become. She also wished Jason and the whole team well for the release.
The actress has a long professional association with Vijay as she has worked with him in Kushi. Now her message has become one of the latest industry good wishes to Jason ahead of his first film as director.
Suriya too took to X to wish him and said he was surprised to see Jason transform from a young boy he knew to a filmmaker.

He also extended his wishes to lead actor Sundeep Kishan, Lyca Productions and the rest of the cast and crew.
Jason Sanjay on Vijay’s likely reaction to Sigma
As the film’s release draws near, Jason has also spoken about his expectations for his father’s reaction to seeing Sigma.
Talking on the Pearle Maaney show, Jason said that Vijay takes his time before giving his opinion on a film.
Sometimes he is very silent. He is never in a hurry. He requires more time to assess a movie. “But he’d be proud because it’s my first film,” Jason said.
Earlier, Jason had mentioned that he had intentionally not given the full script of Sigma to Vijay or his grandfather, filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar. He wanted them to watch the film when it was complete without knowing all the details in advance.
Jason expressed hope that the film itself would determine how audiences view him, no matter whether the eventual response is positive or negative. He sees the release as a first step toward a career of his own in filmmaking.
Directed by Jason Sanjay, Sigma features Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in lead roles. Sampath Raj, Raju Sundaram, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan and Yog Japee are part of the supporting cast.
Sigma is scheduled to debut in theaters worldwide on October 2, 2026.
