LOS ANGELES –What started in “WandaVision” is coming to a close in “VisionQuest.”
A new trailer for the Paul Bettany led series just dropped, teasing Vision’s next chapter and the familiar Marvel faces lingering in his mind.
This version, White Vision, was constructed from the corpse of the Vision’s body last seen in “WandaVision.”
He has his memories, but there’s something missing: he declares that he doesn’t have “his virtue.”
And it looks like Vision’s mind is about to get very crowded.
Former AI personas associated with Tony Stark, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron, appear inside Vision’s mind, but this time, they’re represented by human counterparts rather than just voices.
James Spader returns as Ultron, who becomes a major presence throughout Vision’s journey in the series.
The trailer also flashes back to “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” revisiting the villain’s plot to use Soko
A menacing voiceover from Ultron teases what’s next: “Now I’m going to finish what I started all those years ago.”
Ruaridh Mollica plays Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be a reincarnated version of Vision’s son, Tommy Maximoff.
Thomas analyzes his hands as they seemingly warp at super speed, the same powers Tommy possessed at a young age.
He also appears to put those powers to use, sprinting through a stage at lightning speed.
Meanwhile, flashes of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “WandaVision” play across a theater screen as Vision watches and reflects on his relationship with Wanda, the Scarlet Witch.
What began with their love story in “WandaVision” continued with their son and Agatha Harkness in “Agatha All Along.”
Now, as the trailer puts it, “Experience the final vision of the groundbreaking trilogy.”
Watch the two-episode premiere of “VisionQuest” streaming Oct. 14 on Disney+.
The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney+ and this ABC station.
