DR Gaming Technology appoints Koen De Wispelaere as CEO

DR Gaming Technology (DRGT) has appointed former Group Chief Financial Officerand Executive Board MemberKoen De Wispelaere as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

De Wispelaere joined DRGT in 2015 and has worked closely with Jurgen De Munck, the company’s former CEO and co-founder who now serves as Group Executive Chairman. During his tenure,De Wispelaere has been involved in the company’s systems and jackpot technology growthand operational efficiencies, as well as the expansion of sister company Infiniti Casino in Belgium and France.

“Over the past ten years Koen has worked closely and continuously alongside me, playing a central role in the Company’s management and strategic development. I have every confidence in him,” De Munck said.

De Munck also thanked outgoing CEO Marco Herrera for his commitment over the past two years and for sharing his management systems experience with the team.

Following the appointment, De Munck will remain Group Executive Chairman, focusing on the strategy of Infiniti Casino Group and DRGT.De Wispelaere will lead DRGT’s management systems and jackpot technology development and distribution business.

“Having worked for DRGT™, and closely with Jurgen, for more than a decade now, this opportunity is immense. That said, I’m taking on this challenge with my eyes wide open; I understand and believe in the strategy, know exactly what’s expected of me, and what is required to execute it,” De Wispelaere said.

“Most of my colleagues and I have worked closely together for some time, we know each other well, and fully appreciate one another’s strengths.That’s key. I have no doubt that together we’re going to be doing even greater things,” he added.

De Munck, De Wispelaere and members of DRGT’s global team will attend the 2026 Global Gaming Expo (G2E) at Booth 4405 at the Venetian Expo from Sept. 29.
