Fortnite Reveals 2027 Competitive Plans, Reload Championship to Return Alongside New Events
Epic Games revealed the first details for Fortnite’s 2027 competitive calendar during the Global Championship broadcast, confirming the return of the Fortnite Reload Championship alongside two new events: Arenas Fight Night and the Fortnite Reload Zero Build Championship.
The announcements came as Epic also looked ahead from the remainder of the 2026 competitive season, which still has several major events left on the schedule.
Fortnite’s 2026 season is not over yet. The current roadmap shows three more major competitions taking place before the end of the year.
FNCS Solos (Battle Royale) begins online on September 28 and runs through October 27, bringing FNCS competition back to the Solo format.
The Fortnite Mobile Series Championship will then take place in a studio setting on October 24–25, concluding the Mobile Series season.
Finally, FNCS Solos (Reload) is scheduled to run online from November 3–22, giving Reload its own FNCS competition to close out the year.
Reload Championship Returning in 2027
The Fortnite Reload Championship will officially return in 2027.
Reload has continued to become a larger part of Fortnite’s competitive ecosystem, and its return means players will once again have a dedicated championship for the mode next year.
Fortnite Announces Arenas Fight Night
Epic also revealed a completely new competition called Fortnite Arenas Fight Night.
Fight Night will become another addition to Fortnite’s expanding competitive lineup in 2027, with Epic expected to share more information at a later date.
Reload Zero Build Championship Announced
Zero Build players will also receive a new major event in 2027 with the introduction of the Fortnite Reload Zero Build Championship.
This will give Reload Zero Build its own championship alongside the returning standard Reload Championship.
The announcement marks another expansion of Fortnite’s Zero Build competitive scene.
Players to Vote Between Duos and Trios
Players have been voting throughout the past week to decide whether Duos or Trios will be used for part of Fortnite’s 2027 competitive season.
More than 500,000 total votes have been cast, with the final result set to be announced in just a few hours.
