Hyderabad:The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) to modernise the state’s public transport system, is taking steps to develop bus stands at 13 locations across the state. The new bus stands will come up at Nagarkurnool, Regonda, Huzurnagar, Kodad, Kodangal, Kosgi, Maddur, Kesamudram, Husnabad, Mulugu, Madhira, Nalgonda, and Kothagudem.
As per reports, apart from better passenger amenities, the corporation is prioritizing commercial development at these sites, allocating space for shops, business complexes, food courts, and <a href="https://comicvibe.com/lompoc-chalks-returns-october-2-4-with-40-artists-live-entertainment-and-a-new-meet-the-artists-kick-off/” title=”Lompoc Chalks Returns October 2–4 with 40 Artists, Live Entertainment, and a New Meet the Artists Kick Off”>entertainment zones. Construction has already begun at four locations. Waiting halls and other modern facilities are planned to give passengers a more comfortable environment while waiting, with food and shopping needs available at the same location.
TGSRTC said businesspeople interested in shops or commercial spaces at these bus stands can approach the RTC management directly. Construction has already started at Kodangal, Maddur, Kosgi, and Husnabad.
These modern bus stands are expected to play a key role in providing better transport facilities to people in remote rural areas. Comfortable waiting halls, food outlets, and other commercial facilities should ease passenger inconvenience. At the same time, the shops, food courts, and business complexes coming up at these bus stands could create jobs for local youth and livelihood opportunities for small traders, while also opening a new market for vendors selling local produce and food items.
