BookMyShow initially featured The Paradise reviews and ratings upon its release on September 24, but they are now disabled on some of the platform’s listings.
BookMyShow has recently disabled ratings and audience reviews for The Paradise, starring Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela. Nani has now reacted to the action and explained the possible reasons during a press meeting on Saturday.
At a press meet held in Hyderabad on Saturday, September 26, Nani spoke about the film and made some interesting comments.
This comes in the wake of Nani’s statement on the controversy surrounding a court order obtained by the film’s makers.
Responding to the situation, Nani said that it was not meant to stop genuine audience reviews and criticism.
BookMyShow says Rating & Review Disabled
BookMyShow initially featured The Paradise reviews and ratings upon its release on September 24, but they are now disabled on some of the platform’s listings. The page now says “Rating & Review Disabled” without giving any specific reason for the change or when the feature was turned off.

As per reports, this did not happen across all sites, as some city pages were still showing ratings and audience comments. The restriction has not been given an official reason in the reports about the development.
What Did Nani Say About Films’ Review
Comments made by Nani ahead of The Paradise’s release have also drawn attention amid the latest development. The makers of the film have secured an interim injunction from a Bengaluru court against allegedly defamatory and targeted online content related to the film.
According to India Today, the order applies to specific allegedly defamatory content cited in the case and does not restrict bona fide reviews or criticism of the film.
“From what I understand from my team, the order was for AI-generated and bot-driven content, not real audience reactions,” Nani said during a pre-release event.
He also maintained that viewers could watch the film and express their opinions, including criticism.

Nani also talked about the response of the audience to The Paradise after the release of the film. The actor said he had seen the responses, feedback and criticism around the movie. He took the praise; he took the faults that critics and reviewers pointed out, saying he had learned from the criticism.
