Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are all set to reunite on screen for Ranabaali and the actress’ latest post on social media has given fans a sneak peek of their chemistry before the film’s release.
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are all set with their first film after marriage, Ranabaali. The period action drama is scheduled to release in theaters on October 16, 2026 and the makers have already started creating buzz around the film.
Rashmika recently shared a clip of their song ‘Endhayya Saami’ on her Instagram Stories amidst promotions. She also shared a fun message for Vijay along with the video.
Rashmika shared the song clip with the caption, “It’s crazy that he is all mine but I still can’t stop crushing on him.”
Vijay responded to her post with one equally loving comment. “I am blessed. miss Jayamma I will. But then I have you always,” he wrote.
The exchange quickly grabbed attention, especially since the two actors are playing a married couple in Ranabaali.

The film stars Vijay Deverakonda as the titular character Ranabaali, a rebellious warrior, who lives in South India in the 1870s.
Rashmika is his wife and partner Jayamma, as he struggles to defend his people during a time of devastating famine and colonial oppression.
Their characters’ relationship provides an important emotional component to this larger story, which combines historical events with an action-driven narrative.
Ranabaali is set in the time of the Great Famine
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is based on one of the darkest periods of India’s colonial history – the Madras Famine of 1876-78.
It’s a story of a warrior that confronts a British commissioner in his attempt to protect his community against the harshness that surrounds them.
The central conflict of the film is the clash between Ranabaali and Sir Theodore Hector, played by Arnold Vosloo. Hector is presented as a colonial officer of the British and emerges as one of the primary antagonists in Ranabaali’s struggle.
Set against the backdrop of famine, poverty and colonial rule, the film deals with themes of resistance, survival and courage.

The pairing of Vijay and Rashmika has already created a lot of buzz among their fans, and Ranabaali puts them together in a period setting which is a stark contrast to their previous collaborations.
With its historical background, action components and the chemistry between the couple on screen, the film is all set to be one of the prominent theatrical releases this October.
Mythri Movie Makers has produced Ranabaali, which is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 16, 2026.
