Marvel’s VisionQuest will debut its opening two episodes on the big screen ahead of its Disney+ release. The BFI London Film Festival has confirmed that the first two episodes will be screened at BFI IMAX on October 12, 2026, with the series set to begin streaming on Disney+ two days later on October 14, 2026. The festival’s listing places the screening at 6 p.m. and gives the two-episode presentation a total runtime of 97 minutes.
The upcoming series is the third and final entry in the trilogy that began with the 2021 Marvel series WandaVision. As per the official synopsis, “Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including Friday, Edith, Jarvis, and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate.”
The previously released trailer shows Vision working at a pub in human form before returning to his android form and going home to a different universe inside his head. He reflects on his past as an Avenger, encounters Ultron, and revisits memories of Wanda and their family while questioning whether they were real. Terry Matalas serves as the showrunner of the series.
Along with Paul Bettany as Vision and Spader as Ultron, the series’ cast includes Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff or Speed, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, and Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinari, among others. The series is planned as an eight-episode production.
