It’s officially the time of the year that most people look forward to the most: fall. Beyond cooler temperatures and an excuse to rewatch Gilmore Girls for the millionth time, the fall season also brings some of the most exciting new releasesof the year. The month kicks off with the limited series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s East of Eden, which stars Florence Pugh and comes from Zoe Kazan, but the binge-watches continue the following weeks with Josh Hartnett’s chilling limited series Below,the latest season of the Emmy Award-winning political thriller The Diplomat, and everyone’s favorite rom-com series Nobody Wants This.
On top of all the must-watch new Netflix original series coming throughout October, which also includes a new season of heist drama Lupin, Netflix also boosts a pair of new movies that are sure to become some of the biggest new titles of the month. Ben Affleck stars in and directs the crime thriller Animals,and a star-studded ensemble cast brings the wild world of Sacrifice to life.
Of course, there’s far more coming to Netflix in October 2026 besides the streaming service’s new original content. If you’re looking for more shows to binge-watch, Netflix is also adding the final season of Hallmark’s The Way Home and multiple seasons of Mayor of Kingstown.
