Ahead of its September 24 worldwide release, Nani-starrer The Paradise has received interim protection from a Bengaluru civil court. The order directs social media platforms and other online entities to remove specific URLs carrying targeted derogatory content against the film.
Nani’s The Paradise gets interim protection
A Bengaluru civil court has issued an interim order protecting actor Nani and his upcoming film The Paradise ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 24. The court has directed social media platforms, including X Corp, and other online entities to refrain from hosting, sharing, or disseminating targeted derogatory content against the film, as per a report by Bar and Bench.
The legal action began when the movie production company Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP approached the court. They pointed out that ever since the official trailer was released on August 6, a wave of coordinated false and hateful posts started popping up across various social media platforms.
The producers argued that this was not normal audience feedback but a deliberate attempt to ruin the film’s reputation and hurt its box office collections.
Because of this, the court granted an interim injunction ordering the removal of the specific harmful URLs and links highlighted by the producers. Importantly, the court clarified that the injunction is strictly confined to the specific URLs collated in the plaint schedule and does not hamper bona fide public reviews or genuine critique. The matter will next be heard on October 28.

Additionally, the actor was careful about calling The Paradise a pan-India film, despite it being released in several languages. For him, Telugu audiences remain the primary focus.
Amid the hype surrounding Nani’s The Paradise, the Telangana State Government had approved a hike in ticket prices for the film. From September 24 to 27, single screens are permitted to charge an additional Rs 48, including GST. Meanwhile, multiplexes and special theatres can charge an additional Rs 95.
The Paradise marks Nani and Srikanth Odela’s second film together after Dasara. The film also stars Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni and Sampoornesh Babu in key roles. Keerthy Suresh is set to make a special appearance.
