For a moment, it looked like Salman Khan was having a medical emergency on Bigg Boss 20. He was seen clutching his chest and appearing to be in serious pain in a Weekend Ka Vaar promo. Naturally, viewers were worried. Then came another reaction: why was a health scare being turned into television entertainment?
Salman has now stepped in to clear the air. The actor said his health is completely fine and apologised for the way the promo was edited, saying it made his actions appear similar to what contestant Qazi Touqeer had done inside the house.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Salman made it clear that there was no real health scare.
“Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God,” he wrote.
The actor then questioned the way the Bigg Boss promo had been put together. According to Salman, the editing changed the meaning of the scene and made it appear as though he was doing the same thing as Qazi.
“The bigg boss promo should not have been cut like the way it was cut. It totally beats the purpose n looks like I am doing the same thing that kazi was doing in the house,” Salman wrote.
He explained that the pain shown in the promo was actually part of a demonstration. Salman said he wanted Qazi to understand why pretending to be unwell was wrong, especially when the other contestants genuinely believed that something had happened to him.
What happened with Qazi?
Qazi had earlier caused concern inside the Bigg Boss 20 house after loudly asking for his medicines following a task. His behaviour made the other contestants worry about his health.
Bigg Boss then asked Qazi to report to the medical room. But once there, Qazi told the doctor that there was actually nothing wrong with him. He admitted that he had been acting as part of the game.
Qazi also said that he had told the cameras he was pretending. Despite that, the act had already left several housemates concerned.
He later continued playing different characters and said his intention was to entertain the viewers.
Salman Khan says the promo changed the message
This was where Salman felt the promo missed the point.
The actor said his own act was meant to demonstrate the effect of pretending to be sick while others are left genuinely worried. His intention, as he explained it, was to show Qazi how such behaviour can turn a serious issue into entertainment.
Salman also pointed out that the other 15 contestants had not known Qazi was acting when they became concerned about him.
“The pain was only to show kazi that wat he did was wrong coz he used his health for entertainment specially when the 15 people in the house were not aware that he was acting and were getting worried for his health,” he wrote.
Salman ultimately apologised for the promo rather than the demonstration itself.
“Sorry abt the way the promo was cut. Guess it’s the format that they use in promoting the shows, I apologise on their behalf,” he added.
