    The pot is boiling over at Foxwoods, where “Hell’s Kitchen” is cooking up season 25, CT Insiderpreviously reported.

    The cooking competition is filmed at the casino, where the British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will light a fire under the next generation of cooks when it kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 24. This season, every contestant will be under age of 25, tying the age limit to the show’s milestone, Ramsay told TV Insider.

    If Audrey Hepburn ranks among your favorite Hollywood stars – or humanitarians or fashionistas – you may want to check out Waterbury’s Palace Theater on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

    Best-selling author and Broadway insider Tom Santopietro will discuss his 2025 book, “Audrey Hepburn: A Life of Beautiful Uncertainty.” The book is “an illuminating exploration of the life, career, and enduring legacy of one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars,” according to a news release.

    The discussion, a special installment of its Spotlight Series: “I Wrote That!,” begins at 1 p.m.

    “Drawing on extensive research, rarely published details and photographs, Santopietro offers audiences a fresh and deeply personal portrait of Hepburn, whose grace, vulnerability, and humanitarian spirit captivated the world,” according to the release. The book examines the life of the Academy Award-winning actress, fashion icon, wife, mother, World War II resistance activist, and UNICEF champion, who died in 1993 from appendiceal cancer

    A Waterburynative and Taft School graduate, Santopietro is an author and entertainment historian. He has written 10 books, including the national bestseller “The Sound of Music Story” and “Considering Doris Day,” a New York Times Editors’ Choice selection, according to the release. Santopietro has spent more than three decades in the entertainment industry, managing some of Broadway’s most successful productions, including “Wicked” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” He is also a frequent commentator for television programs, documentaries, radio broadcasts and podcasts, according to the release.

    ‘Obsession,’ indie thriller, at Sacred Heart

    “Obsession,” the indie horror movie written and directed by Curry Barker, has proved to be one of this year’s most successful films. Made for a reported budget of about $750,000, it has earned more than $500 million at the global box office since Focus Features released it in May, according to theLA Times. Now one of its producers, Leonora Ann Darby, is suing, claiming she hasn’t received her share of the profit

    If you’ve missed the film at your favorite spot, you may want to avail yourself of a screening of the psychological horror film Thursday, Sept. 24 at Sacred Heart University Community Theatre in Fairfield. The theater is at 1420 Post Road in Fairfield.

    TheaterWorks Hartford opens new season

    TheaterWorks Hartford will open its season with the 2026 Tony Award nominee for best play, “Little Bear Ridge Road” on Oct. 8. The play, written by Samuel D. Hunter, is set on the remote edge of a small Idaho town. There, a razor-tongued aunt is reunited with her long-estranged nephew, when circumstances suddenly force them back into each other’s lives, according to a news release. “Bitingly funny and quietly explosive, Little Bear Ridge Road explores the complicated, deeply human urge to reach across the void that separates us,” according to the release.

    Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band at Warner

    Beginning as a British blues band and then emerging as one of the most popular bands of the mid-1970s and ’80s, Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album “Rumours” continued to be one of the most popular albums in the world nearly 50 years after its release, according to Esquire. In 2023, it was the most streamed album of the 20th century on Spotify, Esquire reports. “Rumours” has sold more than 19 million copies in the U.S. and more than 40 million copies worldwide, according to IMDb. Fleetwood Mac has not performed together since 2019, and a reunion became unlikely after Christine McVie’s death in 2022, according to People.

    For those longing to hear the band’s tunes live again, he Fleetwood Mac tribute band TUSK will appear at the Warner Theatreon Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

    TUSK has been crisscrossing the United States since 2008, bringing the music of Fleetwood Mac to audiences from coast to coast, according to a news release.

    Audrey Hepburn’s parents, Joseph Ruston and Baroness Ella van Heemstra, were members of the British Union of Fascists, according to the BBC.
