On September 17, Marvel Studios unveiled the poster for Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed, played by Ruaridh Mollica. But many fans have interpreted the poster’s imagery as a possible hint at a dangerous fate for the character, leading them to speculate about a major plot point based on the new image.

The poster shared by Marvel adds another layer to Tommy’s identity as Thomas Shepherd/Maximoff, who takes on the Speed identity. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Ruaridh Mollica commented on his characters in the show.
When asked if his character was bothered by his twin brother, Mollica said, “Tommy is more Thomas Shepherd and Tommy Maximoff. My main essence, I guess, is Thomas Shepherd, who’s this young grifter, grown up as an orphan in London. Tommy Maximoff becomes part of Thomas, so a lot of Thomas’ life, he wasn’t even aware of who he’d then become.”
“Tommy’s kind of grown up unable to accept his family, in a way. So when this Tommy Maximoff side of him is discovered, it’s not easily accepted,” the Marvel star added.
VisionQuest also follows White Vision after the events of WandaVision. In the upcoming Disney+ show, Vision faces many challenges as he tries to regain his memory and humanity. The miniseries is set to premiere on the streamer on October 14, 2026.
