Do I Suck For… Making A Kid Cry On Fortnite?

Another Wednesday, another new “Do I Suck?,” MetalSucks’ version of “Am I The Asshole?” where we take real life horror stories and bring them to our readers to decide if the OP sucks for some bullshit they may or may not have done.

This week’s submission comes from a grown ass man who got into a tiff with a little kid while gaming. Let’s get into it…

I don’t really get how I ended up here considering what playing videos games online is all about, but apparently I’m a piece of shit for this. I disagree.

So I was playing Fortnite the other night like I’ve been doing for years and I always have my headset on. Everyone knows how it goes when you’re on comms, so the fact that any parent would just let their child have unfettered access to some of the scummiest beings on Earth is beyond me.

Anyway so when me and my friends were online, we ended up playing with this little tyrant who was just an awful little shit from the start. He couldn’t have been more than like 9 or 10, so I’m not sure who in his life taught him all those words and phrases in the first place. I’m not a very sensitive person especially when it comes to gaming, but something about this kid just really got under my skin, especially since he was on our team. Whenever there were little quiet moments I could hear music playing in the background from somewhere and at first I didn’t know who it was coming from, but when I recognized who the band playing was I knew it wasn’t coming from any of my friends… because it was Psychosexual, or I guess they go by Psycho Synner now. I’m embarrassed that I even recognized it, but you can’t know all of the things you like without having some idea of all the things you hate, amirite?

I don’t remember exactly what he said, or what I said, but one of things I said was something to the effect of “At least I’m not a little Psychosexual bitch whose parents hate them because I’m a dumb shit who listens to terrible music.” To me, that REALLY wasn’t that bad, but I also know that wasn’t the worst thing I said. I sort of raged out and don’t remember most of it other than the kid started crying, and that made me laugh pretty hard. And I kept laughing at him, which made him cry more, but the fact that Psycho Synner was still playing the whole time it was happening made the whole situation even better.

Obviously that kid logged off, but I was still so full of joy that one of my friends/teammates said that I was a little too harsh on him since he was so young. Honestly, that kid stinks and I don’t really care, but I need some outside opinions.

This guy is the definition of “fuck them kids.” I get where he’s coming from about online gaming being the Wild West in a sense, but what do we think, readers? Does this guy suck as much as Psycho Synner for this?
