Clear River Games has announced that the Quintet-developed 1995-released Terranigma will be released on January 14, 2027 for modern platforms. There will be multiple physical editions as well.
This new version will launch for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (<a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/4193690/Terranigma/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Steam, GOG). The physical release will be available as a standard Foil cover edition, a SteelBook edition, and a Gaia Edition. The Switch 2 version will be a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition physical release with the game on card supporting both Switch 1 and Switch 2. Clear River Games, a video game publisher specialising in classic and retro games, announced today that the highly-anticipated action RPG Terranigma, comes home to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC, launching physically in both Standard, SteelBook and Gaia Editions, as well as digitally on January 14, 2027.
Pre-orders for physical editions are open today, but fans attending the Tokyo Game Show, (September 17 through September 21), are in for an early treat, with the game playable to the public, in hall 6, booth N-04 (PLAION area, inside the Happinet booth). The demo of the game will be playable in both English and Japanese, with the retail version of the game carrying additional French, German and Spanish language support.
Announced to rapturous applause in August this year, fans have been united in excitement at the prospect of the Japanese masterpiece coming to modern consoles and PC, the first time Quintet’s beloved title has been re-released since the original launch in 1995 during the swansong of the 16-Bit era.
To accompany the public playtest of the Japanese version at TGS, Clear River Games is today sharing further information on the all-new Arranged Mode of the game, Quality-of-Life additions, as well as announcing the Gaia Edition of the game, loaded with collectibles that fans of this classic are sure to adore.

Terranigma arrives on PC and console with several Quality-of-Life additions, as well as a brand-new Arranged Mode of the game.
