If you love spooky season and sweet treats, the Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship is back for its 12th season. The American cooking reality TV series returns with 10 bakers competing for the title and a $25,000 prize — all with the theme of the Museum of Unnatural History. We’re talking bugs, masks, skeletons, and more frighteningly festive challenges led by returning host John Henson. There’s no better way to ring in spooky season than with the Halloween Baking Championship, which is why we’re breaking down how to watch it live without cable.
Season 12 judges Stephanie Boswell, Aarti Sequeira, and Zac Young will taste the bakers’ creepy culinary creations and decide who wins the champion title and prize money. What can viewers expect from this season? For the first Haunted Heat of season 12, contestants must bake something inspired by their best Halloween ever. The winner of this challenge will receive $1,000, and the top three bakers will be marked safe. Meanwhile, the remaining bakers will have to participate in a “Bake for Your Life” challenge to create “Hideous Mask Desserts” inspired by the disfigured mask collection in the Hall of Humanity. One contestant won’t survive and will be eliminated from the show.
