Earlier this week, Apple unveiled as series of new product, refreshing it’s lineup for the the end of 2026 and first half of 2027. The star of the show has undoubtedly been the new iPhone Duo. This is Apple’s first foray into the space of foldable smartphones—and are Samsung has been dominant in for awhile now. However, don’t let that flashy new folding iPhone distract you from some of the other goodies we got to lay our eyes on. For instance, the Apple Watch is now on its 12th generation. The Apple Watch Series 12 comes in four different variants. There are two different size options, either 42mm or 46mm. And then you can also choose either to have it support GPS only or both GPS and cellular together.
The lowest price point is for the 42mm with only GPS support. That one is $399. If you want to bump that up to 46mm, it’ll be $50 more at $449. To add in cellular, the 42mm will now cost you $499 while the 46mm will be $549. All four options are available for preorder now, and are set to release later this month on September 18.
Stay Closer to Your Heart Health
Apple is toting the Apple Watch Series 12 as having the most accurate heart rate sensing in its wearables to date. The new smartwatch is able to measure HRV as frequently as once every five minutes in order to provide insights into the wearers stress levels and recovery from workouts. It also measure background heart readings once per every five seconds. You’ll also be able to track data regarding your vitals and sleep health along with blood oxygen levels and menstrual cycle.
This is still a fitness-forward watch. You can view advanced metrics regarding your running pace, heart rate zones, and more. The Apple Watch Series 12 can also be used as a safety precaution, detecting hard falls or severe car crashes and then automatically connect the wearer to emergency services as well as notify any emergency contacts listed.
Battery life is adequate. The Apple Watch Series 12 should support up to 24 hours of normal use. Charging for just 15 minutes should fast-charge the device back up to provide you with up to 12 hours of normal use.
Siri has receive an AI-related upgrade. It now supports more conversational, natural back-and-forths and can even be used to summarize conversations with Live Rewind and Siri Recap.
