Let the 2026 Emmy Awards commence.

Hosted by “Law and Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay, the 78th ceremony will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, Sept. 14.

Leading the Emmy nominations for this year is “The Pitt,” with 25 nods, with comedy juggernaut “Hacks” following closely behind with 24 nominations. Horror comedy “Widow’s Bay” scored the third-highest number of nominations at 19.

There were also plenty of first-time nominations, with several members of “The Pitt” cast earning recognition, as well as “Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie for hosting “Saturday Night Live” and “Love Island USA” host Ariana Madix.

The eligibility dates for the 2026 Emmy Awards apply to shows that aired between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. Only shows that aired in those 12 months were eligible to be nominated, the Television Academy rules say.

Here’s a list of the most popular Emmy-nominated shows for 2026 and where to stream them.

    ‘The Pitt’: HBO Max

“The Pitt” Season 2 is set on the Fourth of July and continues to bring powerful themes and medical ordeals that are what USA TODAY TV critic Kelly Lawler calls “traumatic and disgusting, but fascinating and full of the quirks of modern life.”

Season 2 has 15 episodes, all of which are available to stream on HBO Max.

    ‘Hacks’: HBO Max

Akin to “The Pitt,” all five seasons of “Hacks” are available to stream on HBO Max.

The award-winning and critically acclaimed comedy premiered in 2021 with Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), a culturally aware yet entitled writer, helping outdated comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) reclaim her career. The intergenerational duo has kept fans hooked with their surefire wits and complicated relationship that both hurts and heals.

    ‘Widow’s Bay’: Apple TV

Breakout series “Widow’s Bay” follows Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Matthew Rhys, who is determined to transform a quaint island into the ultimate tourist hub, per the description. However, there’s a problem: Locals believe the community is cursed. All 10 episodes of Season 1 are available on Apple TV.

    ‘DTF St. Louis’: HBO Max

Jason Bateman, David Harbour and Linda Cardellini’s limited series about a “love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise that leads to one of them ending up dead” streams on HBO Max.

The dark comedy has already made waves with Harbour and Cardellini scoring awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress in a Limited or Anthology at Night 2 of Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

    ‘Pluribus’: Apple TV

Starring Rhea Seehorn, the sci-fi drama is about how “the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness,” according to the show’s description. The series scored a whopping 18 nods at the Emmys.

Season One with nine episodes is streaming on Apple TV.

    ‘Beef’: Netflix

“Beef” Season 2 follows a conflict between two couples. In this eight-episode dark comedy, streaming on Netflix, young lovers Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin (Charles Melton) witness an exploding marital tension between country club managers Josh Martin (Oscar Isaac) and Lindsay Crane-Martin (Carey Mulligan), leading to a web of blackmail, resentment, embezzlement, fraud, and deception.

Where to stream ‘All Her Fault’: Peacock

In “All Her Fault,” a family that starts to unravel when wealthy working mother Marissa Irvine’s (Sarah Snook) son, Milo (Duke McCloud), goes missing after a playdate with all blame falling on Milo’s mother, Jenny (Dakota Fanning), the mother of the child with whom Milo was supposed to be, and the boys’ nannies Ana and Carrie (Kartiah Vergara and Carrie Finch).

As drama unfolds, so does a litany of dark family secrets, many of which have Marissa’s husband, Peter (Jake Lacy) at the center.

All eight episodes of the series, based on the Andrea Mara novel, are available to binge on Peacock.

Where to stream ‘The Beast in Me’: Netflix

Emmy-winners Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys headline this psychological thriller about a grieving author, Aggie Wiggs (Danes), who is intrigued by her next-door neighbor, a mysterious yet enticing real estate giant Nile Jarvis (Rhys), accused of murdering his wife.

All eight episodes of the limited series are available on Netflix.

    ‘Shrinking’: Apple TV

Jimmy (Jason Segel) is a therapist raising his teenage daughter while grieving the death of his wife, alongside his colleagues Gaby (Jessica Williams) and Paul (Harrison Ford), who are navigating their own struggles, in this dramedy.

The third season saw Jimmy gearing up for his daughter, Alice (Lukita Maxwell), to leave for college as Paul navigates his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in tandem with his new friend Gerry, played by guest star Michael J. Fox, who is also nominated for comedy guest actor at the Emmys.

All three seasons of “Shrinking” are available to stream on Apple TV.

    ‘The Diplomat’: Netflix

Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell and Allison Janney headline this political thriller about a U.S. diplomat, Kate Wyler (Russell), who contends with her high-profile job as ambassador to the U.K. and her strained marriage to a political star amid an international crisis.

Season 3 with 8 episodes is available to stream on Netflix.
