The exhibition will run from December 12 through February 21, 2027, at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in Tokyo.

Along with the animation, additional original exhibition merchandise was announced, including a rotating acrylic stand featuring Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi, as well as a perpetual daily calendar.

The special animation was produced by the production committee behind the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. Set in Domino City, it brings Yugi and his friends together once again.

New merchandise inspired by key elements from the series has also been added to the lineup. Items include an eco bag featuring the Millennium Puzzle, a set of travel stickers, and a mosaic art puzzle. Further information will be announced gradually through the official exhibition website and official X account.

Applications for the ticket lottery also opened at 10 a.m. on September 14 for December admission dates during the first half of the exhibition. These tickets cover admission from December 12 through December 31.

Exhibition Celebrates 30 Years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga

The exhibition is being held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga serialization.

Kazuki Takahashi made his serialization debut in 1986. His signature work, Yu-Gi-Oh!, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from September 1996 through March 2004.

The fictional card game Magic & Wizards, which appeared in the story, attracted widespread attention. As the narrative increasingly centered on the game, the television anime adaptation Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters began airing in 2000.

Magic & Wizards was later commercialized as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game Duel Monsters. In 2011, cumulative sales surpassed 25.17 billion cards, earning recognition from Guinness World Records as the world’s best selling trading card game.

Following the conclusion of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, Takahashi continued to participate in projects including Yu-Gi-Oh! R and Yu Gi Oh! GX, which were serialized in V Jump, contributing original concepts and other creative work.

In 2013, Weekly Shonen Jump published his one shot manga DRUMP. In 2016, TRANSCEND GAME Yu-Gi-Oh! was published in conjunction with the release of the film Yu-Gi-Oh! THE DARK SIDE OF DIMENSIONS, for which Takahashi served as original creator, screenwriter, character designer, and executive producer.

In 2018, his new short term serialized manga THE COMIQ was published.

Takahashi died in 2022 at the age of 60 after becoming involved in an accident while attempting to rescue others.
