Every Marvel Movie & TV Show Coming Out in the Next 5 Years (So Far)
With a big movie on the horizon that will truly shape its future, the MCU is at a pretty crucial stage right now.
That glorious run from Iron Man through to Avengers: Endgame was rather special, but it would be fair to say that Marvel has struggled to recapture that magic in the years since. Looking ahead, it’s all about Avengers: Doomsday, but what else does Kevin Feige have in the works?
Right now, there are seven projects greenlit and ready to go, as well as two untitled movies pencilled in for 2029 that we will discuss in more detail when they’re fully announced. In the meantime, here’s a look at all the Marvel movies and TV shows coming in the next five years.

It feels like a lifetime ago that White Vision flew off into the proverbial sunset at the end of WandaVision; you’d be forgiven for forgetting about that version of the character and his story entirely. Well, prepare to be reminded as that arc will pick up again on October 14, 2026, when <a href="https://www.justwatch.com/uk/tv-series/visionquest” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>VisionQuest arrives on Disney+.
The TV show will bring together Vision, Ultron (in human James Spader form), and Tommy Maximoff, along with human versions of Friday and Peter Parker’s AI assistant, E.D.I.T.H., as the titular android looks for a sense of identity and purpose.
As things stand, it doesn’t seem like this series will have much of an impact on the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it does at least look like a lot of fun.

This is the big one! Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, you’ll be well aware that Avengers: Doomsday will bring together a plethora of characters from across the Marvel multiverse, including old Avengers like Steve Rogers and Thor, new heroes like the Fantastic Four, and even the X-Men from the Fox era.
At the centre of this epic will be Doctor Doom, played by none other than Robert Downey Jr., who has turned heel to become the big bad of the next phase of Marvel’s grand project.
There has been a lot of speculation about this one. Will Doomsday reboot the MCU entirely? Who will perish and who will make it to the direct sequel, Secret Wars (more on that soon)? Pondering Doomsday theories is tantalising, but all will be answered on December 18, 2026.

Coming in March 2027 and sandwiched between the big Avengers two-parter will be the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, which is odd considering the Marvel world might be in ruins once Doom is done with the heroes this winter. Will Hell’s Kitchen be reeling from the aftermath of Doomsday, or will the show cleverly avoid mentioning the apocalypse?
The last time we saw Matt Murdock, he outed himself as Daredevil, took down Fisk once again, and landed himself in prison. Set photos from Season 3 revealed Luke Cage will be back, as will Elektra, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, suggesting a big Defenders reunion. Meanwhile, Fisk looks like a nomad wandering the streets of New York, sporting a big beard, so it’s all change there.

Back to the big screen, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (whoever is left of them) will return for Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. Very little is known about which way this story will go in the MCU – the Russo Brothers may choose to borrow from Jim Shooter’s ‘Battleworld’ concept from 1984, or from Jonathan Hickman’s 2015 comic book iteration where Doom rules over the remaining fragments of reality after a multiversal collapse.
The latter is more likely, though we know Marvel Studios likes to blend different elements from various comics to create its own stories, too. Either way, expect the Fantastic Four to play a key role, while rumour has it that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man could be one of the main heroes saving the day in this one.

We know a fair bit about Jake Schreier’s X-Men reboot, set to land in cinemas on May 5, 2028. That’s a long way away, but a big chunk of the new X-Men cast has been announced, including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier. We’ll also finally see Adam Driver join the MCU as the villain, Mr Sinister.
Mutants have been steadily creeping into the franchise already, but we’ll probably get a lot more hints as to how this particular story will play out once the Avengers double bill is out of the way. We’ve also still got casting announcements for Magneto and Beast to come, at the very least.

As well as Adam Driver, Marvel has also bagged another long-term casting target with Ryan Gosling signing on for a new Ghost Rider movie. The actor has spoken about his desire to play this character for a while, so it’s not much of a surprise, but still a very exciting development.
The movie will be directed by Shawn Levy, who also helmed Deadpool & Wolverine and is working with Gosling on Star Wars: Starfighter. That’s due to hit theatres on July 28, 2028 and will be the big summer blockbuster for Marvel that year.
Expect a fairly light, humorous take on the character, and a film that might not necessarily tie itself to the wider universe all that much.

On December 15, 2028, Marvel will return to Wakanda for Black Panther 3, and things will be pretty different. It’s thought there will be a time jump, with David Jonsson playing T’Challa’s son and taking on the mantle of the titular hero.
Ryan Coogler is signed on to direct, but we don’t know a lot about the story yet. We should learn more once we know Shuri and M’Baku’s fate after Avengers: Doomsday, but given the time-jump element, it’s not unthinkable that they won’t be involved at all, giving Jonsson centre stage to make the character and Wakanda his own.
