Netflix and Teton Ridge Entertainment are teaming up to bring the drama series to TV screens, after the streamer won a competitive bidding war for the title. Based on McMurtry’s novel, Zoe Kazan and Jeb Stuart will co-showrun the Lonesome Dove series after doing so on East of Eden. Together, Kazan and Stuart have developed Lonesome Dove and will write the adaptation for television, while executive producing it alongside Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jen Gorton, Jon Jashni, Diana Ossana, Curtis McMurtry, and the McMurtry Estate.
