Space Nexus links photo kiosks with giant digital billboards to present a fandom-led creasumer vision
Kiorobo, a kiosk-based entertainment technology automation company, will host the standalone “Space Nexus (Sface Nexus)” pop-up exhibition from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3 at SVC Seoul in Hongdae, Seoul’s Mapo district, offering a vision of the future of the global fandom creator ecosystem. The event is designed to let visitors experience how content created by fandoms can cross the online-offline divide and directly strengthen artists’ intellectual property.
At the heart of the exhibition is “Sface App,” a fan-cam social media platform. Using the app as a hub, visitors can see firsthand how the “Sface Dock” photo kiosk solution and “Sface Live” giant digital billboard solution are seamlessly integrated at the physical venue.
The exhibition places particular emphasis on how fans have evolved beyond being passive content consumers into “creasumers,” taking the lead in content creation and revenue generation. High-quality content uploaded to the app by fandom creators will be naturally displayed in the physical space, delivering a more advanced immersive experience.
“As demonstrated by the recent surge in popularity of the small-agency idol group RESCENE, fan creators’ derivative works have now become a key force that goes beyond simple content consumption to strengthen and evolve artists’ intellectual property alongside them,” Kiorobo CEO Choi Won-ho said. He added, “With content from fandoms in Southeast Asia also surging, we will actively support these fans, who have evolved into full-fledged creators, so that their high-quality global content can be enjoyed across borders on a range of platforms, including photo kiosks and digital billboards.”
