Zenless Zone Zero will receive its long-awaited 1.2 update later this month, which is expected to bring a variety of exciting new content to the game. However, revealed via a lengthy “face to face” video earlier today, the team also announced that they’ll be bringing some of the best quality-of-life features from Collapse to the game, as well as some other nice tweaks.
This additional feature is a backup battery charging system that stores excess batteries beyond the daily limit (used for certain combat challenges with upgrade materials). This is great news for those who can’t have Zenless sessions every day, or for those who want to take a break from gaming without worrying about wasted resources.

It’s present in Honkai Impact and is one of the better features added to some HoYoVerse games over the years. In recent years, the company has shifted to an approach that doesn’t unduly punish players for quitting the game, a feature perhaps best demonstrated by this feature and Honkai Impact’s dedicated catch-up event for long-absent players, which offers Extra currency and rewards are awarded to those who come back after being away for a while.
As for other quality-of-life additional features in Zenless Zone Zero version 1.2, a fair auto-exploration mode will be added to help players track missing observation data. Blitz mode is also coming soon – this will let you jump straight into combat during a Hollow Zero run without having to complete the entire operation. In addition to the three weekly caps, there’s also a way to get more of the Infamous Hunt materials, which should help eliminate one of the game’s trickier bottlenecks.
All in all, this is a great development for what already looks like a very exciting update! Are you eager to get into Zenless 1.2? Let us know below!
