Very little is known about the person behind the name. We know he has been a cryptocurrency investor since at least 2017 for years – and he began investigating on-chain activities in 2018.

In 2017, he invested in many crypto tokens that would become carpets or a complete scam. In addition, seeing one of his wallets hacked in 2018 resulted in a loss of $15,000 in cryptocurrency.
These losses led Zachxbt to learn more about how blockchain technology works, how these scams and hackers work and whether there is a way to refund his funds.
He first tracks blockchain transactions and reveals patterns and methods used to hide theft of funds. Zachxbt realized that many losses like him were also victims of these losses, so he began to expose these scams to protect others.

Bitcoin Robbery
In August 2023, Zachxbt discovered one of the largest personal encryption thefts in blockchain history.
While waiting for the airport, Zachxbt began to receive alerts for a set of bitcoin transactions, totaling $243 million. Feeling something went wrong, he began tracking the funds and found that they originated from wallets that had not been active since 2012.
Zachxbt was on a plane, and by the time it landed, he had identified three main suspects: Malone Lam, Jeandiel Serrano and Veer Chetal. Over the next few weeks, he tracked the stolen funds and collected evidence, and today all three suspects were arrested.
Authorities seized or frozen $79 million in the theft funds from the burglary – while writing, the rest is still tracking.
Pixelmon
Pixelmon emerged in 2022 with the goal of building 3D PokémonStyle games funded through the NFT series.
The project raised about $70 million by selling high-quality, interactive 3D NFTs that promise practicality in the game, but when NFTs are revealed, their poor visual quality can lead to huge community anger.
Zachxbt looked at the project and found that they misappropriated most of the $70 million raised. This includes spending 400 ETH on boring apes and Azuki NFTs. This rebound sees a new leadership team set to be installed in September 2022, starting a recovery road that continues to this day.
Rogue Society
Rogue Society is a 15,777-piece NFT series on Ethereum with the goal of building a space-themed IP.
Rogue Society was released in September 2021, raising $5.5 million, but after mint, they did not deliver on their promises. Zachxbt investigated founder Jahvin Bowman (@lechethemilky) and found that the project was a scam from the beginning.
Zachxbt will further discover that the team has been hosting fake paid contests to collect more funds from its community.
Logan Paul
During the peak of the Altcoin season, the infamous internet personality Logan Paul promoted several members to his followers.
Zachxbt looked at the memes and found that most of them were “pumping and lowering” scams, seeing Paul and the token creator make a lot of money behind his fans.
These projects include Dinkdoink, Retonate, and $flokelon. The allegations of blockchain-based scams have been following Paul to this day – his Cryptozoo project has failed and continues to be valued.
Bitboy Crypto (Ben Armstrong)
For most of the explosion of the initial interest explosion in Web3, Bitboy Crypto is the number one crypto influencer, with thousands of followers receiving tips on the latest crypto coins and assets every day.
Zachxbt investigated Bitboy Crypto and found that he had received a considerable fee – between $2,500 and $40,000 per project to facilitate various scams.
Bitboy claims he has a thorough understanding of any project that pays him, but Zachxbt provides ample evidence that he has been directly involved in at least seven scam projects that deceive investors. Future controversy will make Bitboy completely disappear from Web3.
Brother McGee
Machi Big Brother – real name Jeff Huang – is a Taiwanese entrepreneur and NFT collector.
Zachxbt investigated many suspicious deals involving Huang, resulting in an article that accused him of participating in multiple fraudulent activities. This includes the use of funds from Formosa Financial, a blockchain financial platform.
Huang filed a defamation lawsuit against Zachxbt in June 2023, but leading Web3 names have worked together to contribute to his legal defense, including companies such as Coinbase, Binance and Okx.
North Korean hackers
In the past year, a lot of Zachxbt time has been spent on North Korean activities in Web3. This includes many scams and hackers originating from the country, as well as North Korean citizens who infiltrate the leading Web3 project development team.
These investigations resulted in the discovery of more than $200 million in stolen funds in at least 25 thefts, more than half of which were public knowledge before Zachxbt participated.
