Yuruyuri creator Namori designs new VTuber unit members – Interest

The past decade has seen explosive growth in the popularity of VTubers – online streamers who use virtual avatars to embody their characters’ personalities and entertain millions of fans. Agencies are emerging to help create and manage existing VTubers, including Nijisanji in Japan. On August 13, the agency launched a new five-person VTuber team called Speciale, with the youngest character in the squad being designed by Kirara Tamako. Youyouyouli creator Nathan:

Nijisanji’s announcement also revealed that the new group will consist of Nanase Suzuna, Saotome Berry, Kirara Tamako, Sakayori Soma and Nagisa Trout. The subjects of the five are employees of the fictional Cafe Speciale restaurant. (Their name has a Japanese pun on the delicious dish.) The company also announced that their first livestream will premiere on August 16th.

According to reports, although it was not specified who the character designers for each member of Speciale were comics natalieKirara Tamako was designed by author Yuru Yuri Nathan.
