There’s never been a better time to be a fan of the trading card game, and for those who grew up playing Yu-Gi-Oh, this special edition booster pack will have you ready to duke it out again. The Yu-Gi-Oh TCG: Retro Pack releases today (August 23) and contains a bunch of retro cards for just $18. This is what you get:
- 48 common cards
- 24 rare cards
- 10 super rare cards
- 8 ultra-rare cards
- 11 secret rare cards
The story behind this retro pack is that it was originally an overseas exclusive, as it contained a collection of retro cards from the early days of the game in an effort to catch up with other countries’ American card pools. The exact cards are hard to find in the U.S.—unless you want to shell out big bucks for them at a dealer’s market—and this set is even further retro, including original card frames, illustrations, names, and text.
Another nice addition is that the foil card drop rate is twice as high as the original version, so this is a great chance to finally get that Blue-Eyed Ultimate Dragon you’ve been looking for with the limited edition tag.

The Retro Pack isn’t the only Yu-Gi-Oh recently released aimed at appealing to nostalgic adults who grew up playing Yu-Gi-Oh. If you are a new or returning player, There is a starter package for two for $20 Comes with two 44-card decks and a 64-page comic book to teach you the rules.
