It’s almost time to head back to Dutton Ranch.
Paramount is giving us our first full look at what may or may not be the final season of television’s biggest show.
Unfortunately, we have to wait until November 10th to watch Yellowstone Season 5.
But the good news is, just months after it looked like the show was coming to an end, there’s now talk of Yellowstone being canceled!
We are trying to contain our excitement until the authorities make an official announcement in this regard.
Meanwhile, a new trailer for Yellowstone season 5 part two has us more excited than we’re ready to admit.
Interestingly, fans may be in for a worst-of-both-worlds situation.
If the trailer above is any indication, the next few episodes will feature all the spectacle, all the betrayal and intrigue fans have come to expect in the final season of such a proudly epic series.
But more often than not, the joy of a lavish finale is tempered by the sadness of saying goodbye to a beloved show.
But that may not be the case here, as Paramount is reportedly interested in bringing the show back for a sixth season.
Said season will almost certainly be no The drama stars Kevin Costner, but Yellowstone has enough talented actors and compelling characters that we’re sure the show can go on without him.
As you’ve probably heard by now, Costner quit Yellowstone , partly to work on his epic four-episode drama Event Horizon and partly due to a feud with series creator Taylor Sheridan.
But at this point, Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton is just one of several beloved characters who could compel viewers to watch a Costner-less version of the show.
And if this yes Yellowstone’s swansong, then fans will be able to take comfort in plenty of consolation prizes.
Yes, like a remuda filled with horny stallions, Taylor Sheridan’s universe keeps expanding.
The critically acclaimed spin-off 1883 may have ended, but we still have 1923 (starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) and new films 1944 and 6666, both of which are currently in production .
Sadly, rumors of a sequel series starring Matthew McConaughey appear to have fallen through.
But another spinoff, Madison , starring Michelle Pfeiffer, has now been confirmed.
So, yes, there’s a lot of soap opera-like border chaos to come.
Of course, it’s always hard to top the original, and we can’t wait for Yellowstone to return in November.
