As Deadline originally reported yesterday, Joel McHale is best known for playing asshole Jeff Winger on Jerk. communityjoined the Yellow Jackets Season 3 Season 3 in a guest role. Later that day, the Yellowjackets’ official Twitter account confirmed the news, splicing a photo of McHale with footage from the show’s opening and captioning it with “Welcome to the Hive.” No details about his character have been released so far, but considering this is McHale, we can probably assume he’s some sort of jerk-type character, an archetype he seems to find himself falling into quite often.

McHale joins an already strong cast starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Liv Hewson , Ella Purnell and Elijah Wood of “Lord of the Rings” and other actors. For those of you who haven’t seen the show, it spans two time points, one set in the Canadian wilderness in 1996 where a group of high school girls crash land and must survive, and the second time point returns to some of the same The women are 25 years later in 2021, and they are dealing with the consequences of what happened years ago.

The first season of the show will be aired in 2021, and the second season will be aired in May 2023. time. Production started back in May of this year, so hopefully it won’t be too long before we get back to normal again.
We should also see McHale return to the role of Jeff Winger at some point in the next few years, as the long-awaited Community movie is currently in pre-production. It’s six seasons and one movie after all!
