Geforce Now is great. This is a game streaming service that really works. Amazing. Game Pass is great. It’s a game subscription service that offers a huge selection, including many one-day-release games, many of which can be played on Nvidia’s streaming platform. What could make this league better, you ask? It all depends on how you log in.
While the two services work well together, allowing you to play Game Pass games virtually anywhere you have a good internet connection, there’s still a catch: you have to be signed into a Microsoft account to play the games. “Big deal”, I’m sure many of you are secretly angry. “This guy doesn’t even know he was born,” etc. Ask anyone who tries to use the TV remote to enter their email address and password.

Geforce Now users who primarily use games from their Steam library won’t have this problem, as the service logs you in automatically. Now Xbox accounts will also enjoy this feature.
Starting tomorrow, August 22nd, you’ll be able to log in once through your account settings and avoid those pesky login boxes forever. Want to play Forza Horizon 5? Eager to show off the high-end visuals of Hellblade 2? There’s almost nothing stopping you now…except a good internet connection, a Geforce Now membership, a Game Pass membership, a device to use Geforce Now on, possibly a controller to play with, some sort of router, and preferably a connecting cable Connect your device to a router, monitor or TV (preferably a good 4K monitor), and have some actual free time to enjoy yourself.
If you missed all the excitement, Game Pass is changing again and some levels will no longer offer all day one play. As revealed at Gamescom this week, there are also a ton of new games on Game Pass – some of which may also be coming to Geforce Now.
