If you’re planning on returning to Azeroth when the new World of Warcraft expansion, Civil War, launches on August 26 (or if you’re already in Early Access this week), you should consider getting yourself an MMO mouse.
To be clear, almost every mouse is suitable for regular MMO games, and most devices sold as “MMO mice” are not that different from other PC gaming models, but there is one key difference: additional button. a lot of Extra buttons, in fact. We’re talking 10 to 20 or more additional buttons. These additional inputs are usually located on the side of the mouse for easy thumb access. These buttons can be mapped to the various skills and abilities you use in the game, making it easier to keep up with your combat rotation, pop up weaving abilities at the right time, or even just navigate faster than dragging and clicking. The icon on the menu screen.

If this sounds like what you want in a new mouse, you’re in luck. There are dozens of mice equipped with extra buttons and other MMO-friendly features, and many of them are on sale right now – including one of our favorite gaming mice, Logitech G502 Hero. This wired mouse has 11 programmable buttons, and you can buy it from Amazon for $42.29, which is nearly half off the regular price of $80.
Another option with more buttons is UtechSmart Venus Pro. This wireless model has 16 buttons and is well received by users. You can buy it for $38.39 (originally $60). While it’s not a mouse, you should also consider Razer Tartarus V2a keyboard with a variety of gaming input features, including 32 programmable keyboard keys, controller-style joysticks, scroll wheels, and more. It’s $70 on Amazon (originally $80).
Several other MMO gaming mice from well-known brands such as Corsair, Asus, SteelSeries, and more are also discounted on Amazon. Razer Naga Pro is a versatile option, as it actually comes with three interchangeable side panels, so you can switch between World of Warcraft’s 12-button side panel and swap it out for Diablo 4’s 6-button side panel, and use FPS’s two-button attachment for gaming.
