TV Fanatic has an exclusive preview of the series finale of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood , teasing the fate of killer Eddie Nash.
The series delves into the multiple murders that occurred on July 1, 1981, on Los Angeles’ Wonderland Boulevard.
The story has surprising connections to Hollywood, from porn star John Holmes to Liberace’s disposable boy toy Scott Thorson.
If you think you’re unfamiliar with Tolson, you probably aren’t. He wrote Behind the Candelabra, an explosive behind-the-scenes look at his life with Liberace.
Thorson’s involvement in “Wonderland” hearkens back to his days in Liberace, when a relationship that lifted him up only to plunge him into the darkest corners of Hollywood among porn stars and drug dealers.
This crazy case is the epitome of a chaotic era in Los Angeles, filled with sex, drugs, rock music and murder. “Boogie Nights” starring Mark Wahlberg was inspired by this true story.
Through noir-style authentic interviews, Michael Connelly delves into the details of this brutal quadruple murder and meets the detectives, prosecutors and undercover agents he first met as a young crime reporter for the Los Angeles Times Police spoke.
As the investigation progresses, rare archival footage and photographs bring the colorful characters to life.
The most famous of these was Eddie Nash, who brutally murdered four people on a July night, although he himself did not pull the trigger.
At the time of filming “Wonderland and the Secret History of Hollywood,” Thorson may have been the last person alive to reveal the case.
Through interviews with him and with the help of the lead detective on the case and others, Connelly unravels a 40-year-old saga.
His goal is to understand the reality of unsolved cases that are stranger than fiction, but where the truth is elusive.
It is a character in itself that seems to remain hidden no matter how hard one tries to discover it.
Case in point are Nash’s shocking arrest and trial, and Hook’s repeated escape from his prey’s grasp.
In an exclusive clip from the show’s finale, Thorson shares with Connery his legendary bravado, his claim that he accused Nash of the murder, and the detectives’ shock at how Nash’s trial went.
No matter how strong the case, the judicial system does not always get it right.
It takes 12 people to convict, which is much harder than you think, even with the evidence gathered in the Wonderland massacre case.

Be sure to tune in to see Nash’s performance at the trial.
Thorson died before the show premiered, so this will likely be the last word on the case. This is not something you want to miss!
The finale will premiere on MGM+ on Sunday, September 29 at 10/9c.
