As they often do, the Helldiver 2 community managed to get a head start on the latest major order with a big last-minute push – which may or may not be successful. Arrowhead has now finally decided to release a video showing us its mysterious game master, Joel, oh, sorry, JOEL, a move that probably didn’t help this heroic collective charge come together.
First, how is MO going as of this writing? Well, Super Earth forces have successfully taken control of four of the five planets they need to capture in order to wrest power from the automatons and their new orbital cannons. Wasat, Vega Bay, Varylia 5 and Ustotu are all under Super-Earth’s control, leaving only Wezen.

question? Currently, Wezen’s liberation rate is only 25.82%, and there are less than 7 and a half hours left before MO time. At the current rate, Wezen will fall, but only after the deadline passes. So unless some of the players on Reddit who haven’t given up yet try to make a move in the next few hours to gain some real momentum, L will probably show up this time.
To be fair, it looks like the new personal command Arrow just deployed now just says “Kill 5” rather than telling you that you should actually kill 5, so that’s probably not going to distract you.
Somewhat distractingly, a video posted by Arrowhead on its social media gives us our first real look at Helldivers 2’s infamous game master, Joel, or JOEL. Get close and cough, and it will use the Force (or just the power of its scream) to push you away.

To be fair, it turned out to be an entity that could ping everyone in the Discord server without spending 20 minutes promoting itself/having a mild panic attack beforehand in order to track it down. Of course, since it’s a video game, some players have been looking for any teases in the video related to the galactic war Arrow might be involved in, but what they ultimately found seems to be a pretty good chule, unless the glowing red planet in the video actually turns As some have speculated, they have not been to those places.
Do you think this MO is destined to fail? Let us know below, and if you haven’t checked out what the next War Bonds installment of the game will contain, be sure to check it out!
