Switching basically allows users to continue what they are doing on one device just as they would on another. For example, if users use the Continuity feature on Mac, they can continue reading where they left off in an article in Safari for iPhone. The Windows 11 feature works similarly, letting iPhone and Android users take what they do on their mobile devices over to their PCs.

as microsoft power user The blog points out that Microsoft has experimented with device sync capabilities before, although those attempts didn’t fully replicate what was possible on the Mac.
Microsoft has tested the “Continue from Phone” feature in OneDrive, which allows users to synchronize what they do with OneDrive files between their PCs and mobile devices. In addition, Microsoft provides the “Link to Windows” application in the Apple App Store, which helps share notifications, contacts and other information between iPhone and PC. However, the experience is nowhere near as intuitive as the Mac’s Handoff feature.
With Apple’s Handoff, users can simply check the macOS dock to see the mobile versions of apps they have open on their iPhone. Just click the app icon and your iPhone and Mac can sync their experiences.
Will Windows 11’s Hand Off feature work as well? Since this feature is still only available for testing in beta builds, we may have to wait a little longer to find out.
